New Delhi, Jan. 28 -- Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday presented its first-ever surplus budget, with Standing Committee Chairperson Satya Sharma announcing strong financial recovery and roadmap for infrastructure, environment and public services.
For 2026-27, MCD has projected an income of Rs 17,044.06 crore against an expenditure of Rs 16,697.56 crore.
With accumulated savings from previous years, the Corporation expects nearly Rs 1,205 crore surplus next year, aimed at reducing borrowings and accelerating development works.
