New Delhi, Feb. 11 -- MCD has dismantled nearly 380 illegal banners, hoardings, and pole kiosks across the city ahead of the India AI-Impact Summit 2026 as part of its ongoing anti-encroachment drive, an official said on Wednesday.

Officials conducted the drive during the period from January 1 to early February.

As per the action taken report, 379 unauthorised installations, comprising political and religious boards, commercial banners, hoardings, and sunpack sheets, were cleared during the drive, a senior officer said.

He added that Karol Bagh witnessed the maximum action, with 87 unauthorised structures taken down in four drives on January 5, 12, 20 and February 9. The Central zone followed with 38 removals, including 31 on January 10....
