New Delhi, Nov. 30 -- Voting is underway for the by-polls in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD) 12 wards.

People started reaching the polling stations early in the morning hours, as the voting started at 7:30 am, and is going to take place till 5:30 pm.

The wards include Greater Kailash, Vinod Nagar, Shalimar Bagh B, Ashok Vihar, Naraina, Sangam Vihar A, Mundka, Dwarka B, Dichaon Kalan, Chandani Chowk, Dakshin Puri, and Chandani Mahal.

Twenty six women candidates are contesting these by-elections, out of the total 51 candidates.

Voters from all age groups could be seen coming forward to cast their vote, with a hope for development and better civic amenities.
