Shimla, April 8 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur stated Thursday that results of four Municipal Corporation elections should not be considered complete rout of ruling party, as Congress and a section of media reported.

Defending loss of party in Palampur and Solan MC poll held Wednesday , Mr Thakur said it should not be considered semifinal of upcoming by-election or Vidhan Sabha elections in 2022.

He said Dharmshala MC which was earlier with Congress was wrestled by the ruling party, however, it emerged dominant in Wednesday's polls.

Party has succeeded to have support of a rebel in Dharmshala as it fell short of one seat to achieve complete majority ,however, in Mandi party got the absolute majority, Mr Thakur said...
