Mumbai, Jan. 19 -- Post municipal poll results, focus across the state has now shifted to the election of mayors. With no single party securing a clear majority in several municipal corporations, intense political efforts are underway for the mayoral posts, raising the possibility of horse-trading.
In the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, Shiv Sena has emerged as the single largest party and is making strong attempts to secure the mayor's post. However, these efforts appear to be aimed at keeping the BJP out of power. Amid these developments, reports have surfaced that 11 corporators from the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) are untraceable.
