Lucknow, July 25 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati today welcomed the Union government's assurance that there would be no changes to the Constitution, especially the removal of the word "secularism" from its Preamble.
In a post on social media platform X, the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister commended the statement made in Parliament by the Union Law Minister, who clarified that the government has no plans to alter or remove the term "secularism" and that such proposals are not under consideration.
