Lucknow, Dec. 1 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Monday urged for a peaceful and productive Winter Session of Parliament, stressing the need for meaningful debates on critical public issues such as Delhi's severe air pollution and challenges in voter list revisions, while appealing to all parties to rise above political differences.

She said that, as in previous years, there are expectations of disruptions, but her party wants both Houses to function smoothly so that critical national and public welfare issues can be properly debated.
