Lucknow, June 29 -- Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati today criticised the Uttar Pradesh government for not sanctioning scholarships to dalit students of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University in Aligarh.
Posting on the social media, she wrote that dozens of colleges in many districts are affiliated to this university and thousands of SC-ST students study there.
"The students are yet to get the scholarship due to laxity on the part of the state government. For this reason, there is anxiety and resentment among the students as there future hangs in balance," Mayawati said.
