Lucknow, Sept. 14 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has appointed former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth as the Central Coordinator for four key states, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Gujarat.
Siddharth, who recently rejoined the BSP, is also the father-in-law of Mayawati's nephew and party National Coordinator Akash Anand.
According to sources, Siddharth has been made the Central Coordinator for Sector-3 of the BSP's national organizational structure, taking over the role from Randhir Singh Beniwal.
The party has divided the country into six organizational sectors, each comprising three to four states, to streamline and strengthen its outreach and functioning.
