Hyderabad, Dec. 15 -- Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals has enhanced its retinal diagnostic capabilities at its Somajiguda Centre of Excellence with the introduction of an advanced widefield fundus imaging system, significantly upgrading its eye care technology.
The new widefield fundus camera offers a much broader view of the retina compared to conventional fundus cameras, enabling ophthalmologists to detect early lesions, degenerative changes and vascular abnormalities that are often missed with standard imaging.
The technology comes at a crucial time, as India faces a rising burden of retinal and systemic disease-linked eye disorders such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, retinal tears, uveitis and vascular occlusions.
