Kolkata, April 10 -- The district-wise data on the deletion of voters in the supplementary list released by the Election Commission of India shows an extensive deletion in several constituencies across West Bengal.
The data released by the ECI revealed that Samserganj in Murshidabad recorded one of the highest assembly-wise deletions, with as many as 74,775 names struck off from the electoral rolls.
Earlier district-wise figures released by the poll body indicated that Murshidabad has emerged as the worst-affected district in the state, accounting for a staggering 4,55,137 deletions from the adjudication list.
The trend is reflected across multiple constituencies in the district, underscoring the scale of the revision exercise.
