Imphal, July 15 -- In a major breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and public order in Manipur, joint security forces carried out a series of intelligence-based operations in the early hours of Tuesday, resulting in the recovery of a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and warlike materials from multiple districts in the state.
K. Kabib, IGP Intelligence, Manipur Police, briefing the media here today, said that altogether 86 weapons and 974 rounds were recovered.
