Mumbai, Nov. 26 -- Serious discrepancies in Mumbai's voter list have come to light, with authorities acknowledging large-scale duplication of names in the electoral rolls. While the exact number of times an individual's name has been repeated is still unclear, initial sample checks have revealed that 4.33 lakh voters appear more than once in the rolls.

Overall, nearly 11 lakh duplicate entries are suspected across the system, raising major concerns about the integrity of the electoral process.
