Imphal, March 11 -- Manipur Police and security forces continue to seize drugs, banned items and destroy various illegal poppy plantations in the hill areas of Manipur.
Police said Manipur Police and security forces seized 10.36 Kg of opium and arrested three drug dealers at Naojai , Senapati district on Tuesday. Police said the opium was hidden in the seat of a four-wheeler.
Three persons identified as Yaronso Ramsan, Shunreingam Khayi, K Lucy were apprehended for involvement in the case.
Police on Wednesday said security forces, NCB and Forest Department destroyed about 10 acres of poppy plantation at multiple locations between Tingpibung village and Leplen village under Saikul-PS, Kangpokpi district.
