Baddi (HP), April 24 -- A massive fire broke out on Thursday at a scrap godown located on Chakka Road in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh after a local resident reportedly set ablaze a heap of farm residue in a nearby field.

Within minutes, the fire engulfed the area, sending thick black plumes of smoke billowing into the sky and severely deteriorating the already poor air quality in the region.
