Srinagar, Nov. 15 -- A massive blast occurred inside the Nowgam Police Station late on Friday night, triggering panic, official sources said.
The police station is the same facility that had last month registered a case related to Jaish-e-Mohammad posters, which subsequently led to the busting of a major inter-state terror module.
Initial reports suggest that the blast occurred when ammunition seized from terrorists went off accidentally.
A number of fire service vehicles rushed to the spot soon after the explosion. Visuals from the site showed significant damage to the building.
