Los Angeles, Sept. 16 -- Academy Award-nominated actress Mary McDonnell has lined up two high-profile projects, stepping into the Marvel universe with the 'Vision' series and the feature adaptation of William R. Forstchen's 2009 dystopian novel 'One Second After'.

In "One Second After", McDonnell plays Jen, the perceptive and steadfast mother-in-law to John (Josh Holloway), who becomes the guardian of his daughters when an electromagnetic pulse devastates civilisation, plunging society into chaos.
