New Delhi, March 24 -- Indian equity markets witnessed a strong upward movement on Tuesday, with benchmark indices BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 trading firmly in the green during the morning session.
The Sensex climbed to 73,528.26, registering a robust gain of 831.87 points (1.14pc).
The index opened on a strong note at 74,212.47 and maintained positive momentum, reflecting renewed investor confidence. Despite some intraday fluctuations, it stayed well above its previous close of 72,696.39.
Similarly, the Nifty 50 advanced to 22,757.35, up 247.20 points (1.09pc).
The index touched a high of 22,899.60 during early trading, signaling bullish sentiment across sectors. It remained comfortably above its previous closing level of 22,512.65.
