Kochi, Oct. 31 -- India's Marine Fisheries Census (MFC) 2025 has taken a historic digital leap with the launch of the Household Enumeration and the VYAS-BHARAT and VYAS-SUTRA mobile applications here today.
Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying George Kurian launched the initiative, which marks the first-ever fully digital and geo-referenced marine census in the country, replacing conventional paper-based methods with a comprehensive, technology-driven system.
