Washington, Feb. 18 -- Oscar-nominated actor-producer Margot Robbie has made it clear that her filmmaking priorities lie with audiences rather than critics.

According to Variety, the Australian actor said she has never gone onto a film set worrying about reviews, emphasising instead the emotional impact a movie has on viewers.

The 'Wuthering Heights' star said, "I consider the audience always. I've never, ever been on set and thought, 'What are the critics going to think of this?' I'm like, 'What's an audience going to feel right now? What's their emotional response going to be?'" adding, "I believe you should make movies for the people who are going to buy tickets to see the movies. It's as simple as that," as quoted by Variety.
