Aurangabad, Oct. 18 -- Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported at least 744 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in all the eight districts combined, authorities said on Sunday.

The districts also witnessed 33 more corona-related deaths during the same period.

Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region, Beed was the worst affected with 117 fresh cases and 13 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 257 new cases and eight deaths, Nanded 90 cases and four deaths, Latur 83 cases and four deaths, Osmanabad with 59 cases with two deaths, Hingoli 26 new cases one death, Parbhani 20 cases and one death and Jalna 92 cases.
