Sambhajinagar, Sept. 9 -- The Marathwada region has recorded 128.2 per cent of its normal rainfall for the June to September period, with a total of 722.2 millimetres (mm) against the average of 679.5 millimetres, according to the daily rainfall analysis released by the Revenue Department.

Beed district recorded the highest rainfall at 153.9 percent of normal, receiving 686.0 mm against the average of 566.1 mm, according to data released at 10.06 am this morning. Between June and August, Beed received 478.9 mm, which is 121.5 percent of the normal 394.1 mm. However, September rainfall remained low at just 9.3 mm, which is only 18.0 percent of the monthly normal of 51.6 mm.
