Mumbai, April 1 -- The Marathwada region has been put on alert following a forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting intense pre-monsoon activity, including thunderstorms, gusty winds and isolated hailstorms over the coming days.
The weather disturbance is expected to intensify across central Maharashtra, particularly affecting districts such as Ch. Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed and Parbhani, where wind speeds of 50-60 kmph are likely on April 3 and 4, along with hail activity continuing until April 2.
Authorities have advised residents to remain indoors during adverse weather conditions.
