Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 16 -- Continuous heavy rainfall across several districts in Maharashtra's Marathwada region has caused extensive damage to agricultural crops, pushing farmers to the brink of desperation.
The affected areas include Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, Latur and Beed districts where standing crops have been completely destroyed by the relentless downpour.
A farmer from Patharwala in Georai taluka of Beed district expressed profound distress while surveying his submerged cotton field, stating that the annual cycle of crop destruction has left farmers with no means to feed their children, repay loans, or sustain their livelihoods.
