Ch. Sambhajinagar, Sept. 27 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Marathwada on September 27 and 28, and heavy rainfall on the 29th.
This fresh spell follows recent floods that claimed 84 lives and submerged crops across the region. The forecast is due to a well-marked low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal intensifying into a depression and moving westward.
Recordings from the 24 hours ending 8:30 am on September 27 showed high levels: Ahmedpur (Latur) at 17 cm, Palam (Parbhani) at 15 cm, Loha (Nanded) at 14 cm, Gangakhed (Parbhani) at 11 cm, Aundha Nagnath (Hingoli) at 10 cm, Beed town at 9 cm, and Washi (Dharashiv) at 7 cm.
