Latur, Aug. 15 -- Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnayak has expressed confidence that the demands of the Maratha quota agitators could be resolved through discussions before the planned protests begin. His remarks came after holding talks with Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil.

The Maratha community is demanding reservation under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and the implementation of the ordinance on inclusion of close relatives. To press for these demands, a Maratha morcha is scheduled to march to Mumbai, starting from Antarwali Sarati on August 27, followed by an indefinite hunger strike from August 29.
