Ranchi, Dec. 23 -- : Jharkhand BJP president and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi on Monday hit out at the state government, alleging that compensation for affected families was decided on political considerations rather than the scale of hardship or disaster.
Marandi said it was unfortunate that in Jharkhand compensation was no longer guided by suffering or calamity, but by political benefit. He alleged that families rendered homeless during the cold spell had failed to receive government attention.
