Ranchi, Nov. 8 -- Jharkhand BJP President Babulal Marandi on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of shielding tainted officers and adopting what he described as the snake dies but stick remains intact formula in the case involving former DGP Anurag Gupta.

Taking to social media, Marandi alleged that Anurag Gupta was one of the most corrupt DGPs the state had ever seen.

He claimed that even leaders from the ruling alliance had earlier raised serious allegations against Gupta, yet the Chief Minister chose to ignore them.
