Ranchi, Aug. 9 -- Leader of Opposition and Jharkhand BJP chief Babulal Marandi has alleged that a senior police officer in Jharkhand conspired to frame Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during the state assembly elections.
In a statement today, Marandi claimed the officer sent someone to Delhi and Guwahati twice, allegedly after paying them money, to implicate the Assam CM.
Marandi said he would soon present proof of the conspiracy. Addressing Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he questioned whether such actions were carried out with Soren's knowledge or without his awareness.
