Hyderabad, June 10 -- Security forces have been put on a high alert along the borders of Telangana-Chhattisgarh following 'Bharat bandh' called by Maoists on Tuesday.

A cordon and search operation is being conducted in Venkatapuram and Vajedu mandals of Naxalite-affected Mulugu district and also in district of Bhadradri-Kothagudem in Telangana.

The police have issued a warning to people not to cooperate with the Maoists.

Security forces are conducting a massive combing operation following intelligence inputs that Maoists may carry out attacks.
