Hyderabad, Sept. 27 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case of criminal misconduct against Bathini Ranjith, Sub-Inspector of Police, Manuguru Police Station in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 40,000.
According to the ACB statement issued on Saturday said, the Sub-Inspector had earlier demanded the bribe from a complainant as a reward for issuing notices under Section 35(3) of the BNSS Act to him and his brother in Crime No. 292/2025, registered under Sections 318(iv), 296(3) read with 3(v) of the BNS Act at Manuguru Police Station.
