Manorama River's revival campaign launched in Gonda
Gonda, July 4 -- The Uttar Pradesh government, besides focussing on development is equally committed to reviving the state's ancient cultural identity and preserving its natural heritage.
An example of this vision is the Gonda district, where a community-driven initiative has started for restoring the Manorama River, officials here today.
In recent years, the Manorama River had nearly vanished, its flow blocked by silt, encroachment, and dried-up sources. Now, its revival is poised to mark a major milestone in water conservation while re-establishing Gonda's ecological and cultural identity.
