Mumbai, Sept. 2 -- The Maratha reservation movement spearheaded by Manoj Jarange-Patil has finally attained victory. The state government has accepted six out of his eight key demands. Sub-committee chairman Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil met Jarange and recited the draft proposal.

Following this, Jarange announced, "We have won", while insisting that the government issue the official order (Government Resolution) within the next hour.

He further declared that the agitation would be called off only after the GR is released. Jarange also appealed to protesters to vacate Mumbai by 9 pm tonight.
