Ambassa, Dec. 14 -- Tripura Minister Manoj Kanti Deb on Saturday took the initiative to strengthen harmony between tribes and non-tribes at Halhali area, where the CAB opposing strike turned into an ethnic strife between the tribals and non-tribals in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai, here.
The situation remained tense till Saturday as the communities left contacts with each other, amid rumour mongering on a large scale.
The MLA from this area went to tribal-dominated Apareshkar, Panboa and Nakful areas and interacted with local inhabitants there. He assured them with all security and took a section of them with him to Halhali market.
