Thiruvananthapuram, March 31 -- Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament Manish Tewari on Tuesday strongly criticised the Centre's handling of the escalating West Asia conflict, accusing it of maintaining a "deafening silence" on a matter with serious geopolitical and economic consequences.

Addressing a press conference at the KPCC headquarters here, along with party colleagues including Brijesh Kalappa, Tewari said India's traditional foreign policy rooted in anti-imperialism and non-alignment was being compromised.
