Imphal, May 28 -- Security forces while conducting frisking and checking at Biisho bridge under Maram PS, Senapati District intercepted a vehicle and seized 2.4 kg of brown sugar on Tuesday.
Police said on Wednesday that Mayarngam Khokyar of Kalhang village, Ukhrul District and Nima Sherpa (34) of Sadim Naga village, Senapati District were detained.
About 220 soap cases containing suspected Brown Sugar weighing approx. 2.4 kg were concealed inside the body of the vehicle.
