Imphal, July 4 -- The Manipur State Commission for the Scheduled Tribes (MSCST) celebrated its 2nd Foundation Day today with a grand event held at Sangai Hall, Hotel Imphal by The Classic.
The programme was conducted under the theme "Promoting Unity in Diversity."
Prashant Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
In his address, he proposed that next year's Foundation Day be hosted in one of the hill districts to enable broader participation from tribal communities across the state. Expressing optimism about the improving situation in Manipur, he voiced confidence that the 2026 celebration would see involvement from all tribal groups in the region.
