Imphal, Nov. 22 -- In a series of coordinated operations across Manipur yesterday, Security Forces and state police carried out major actions against illegal poppy cultivation, militant activities and illicit liquor manufacturing.
Police today said in a joint operation, Security Forces along with the district administration and Forest Division, Machi, destroyed approximately 10 acres of poppy plantation in the hill range of Machi under Machi Police Station, Tengnoupal district. The drive is part of the government's continued campaign against drug production and deforestation in the region.
