Imphal, May 25 -- A one-day workshop and consultation on 'Status of Manipuri Pony Breed' organised by the Manipuri Pony Society (MPS) was held at Manipuri Pony Breeding Farm, Lamphelpat on Sunday.
The session was attended by representatives of Polo Associations, pony owners and pony lovers from five districts of Imphal East and West, Thoubal, Kakching and Bishnupur. Later, the gathering recommended submitting the proceedings to the Government of Manipur, highlighting the present and imminent challenges facing the survival of the rare Manipuri pony breed.
