Imphal, Sept. 28 -- "Conserving natural resources and protecting the environment is crucial for survival on Earth," said Dr. T. Brajakumar Singh, Director of the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, while addressing a one-day Consultation Workshop on the Green Education Programme at Schools, held today at the Directorate's Main Conference Hall, Porompat.
Dr. Brajakumar highlighted the urgent need to create awareness about environmental changes and their impact on all living and non-living beings. He said the Directorate is focusing on school education to instill environmental consciousness among the younger generation, who will play a key role in mobilizing activities for environmental protection.
