Imphal, Sept. 29 -- The Manipur Fire Service Headquarters, Imphal, today hosted the one-day 6th Fire & Life Safety Training with active participation from hospital and nursing home staff.
Addressing the programme, Additional Secretary (Home), A. Subhash Singh, highlighted the importance of regular training and interactive sessions to enhance fire prevention skills, particularly in hospitals where patients may face difficulties in evacuating during emergencies.
He also suggested the preparation of a list of hospital fire trainers, mandatory fire safety certification for new hospitals, provision of dedicated parking space for fire service vehicles, and inclusion of the banking sector in fire safety initiatives.
