Imphal, Feb. 16 -- Some MLAs of Manipur have complained to the police that they getting fraudulent calls from unknown persons, an officer said on Sunday.

The officer said the police have received complaints about calls from unknown individuals attempting to influence and mislead MLAs by exploiting the ongoing political situation in the state.

An FIR has been registered at the Imphal police station and necessary legal action is underway. The police warned that those involved in such fraudulent activities would face strict and strong legal consequences.
