Imphal, June 21 -- Journalists of Manipur have suspended a stir of non-publication of government and security personnel related news from Saturday.
The decision was taken on Saturday by All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and the Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) during a general body meeting at Press Club.
A team of media persons going to Ukhrul on May 20 last to cover Shirui Lily Festival was stopped by personnel of 4 Mahar Regiment and demanded concealment of the words "Manipur State Transport" written on the vehicle of the Manipur Transport Department, Manipur.
The journalists protested and submitted a memorandum to Governor on the same day.
