Imphal, July 16 -- Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, held a series of high-level meetings at Raj Bhavan, Imphal today, focusing on key developmental, administrative, and cultural priorities in the state.
In a significant development, Th. Chitra Devi, Director of Census Operations, Manipur, called on the Governor to brief him on the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Census 2027 , scheduled to begin in April 2026. She detailed the activities and groundwork being carried out by the department and discussed various administrative and managerial challenges facing the Directorate. In response, Governor Bhalla assured full support from the State Government to ensure a smooth and efficient census operation in Manipur.
