Imphal, Oct. 9 -- Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla today remotely released various wild animals back into their natural habitats and launched new conservation initiatives during the grand finale of the 71st Wildlife Week Celebration 2025.
The event, organised by the Forest Department at the City Convention Centre, was held under the theme 'Human-Wildlife Co-existence'.
The animals released included the Burmese Python, Bengal Slow Loris, Myanmar Box Turtle, and Leopard Cats. On the occasion, the Governor also launched the Manipur Bear Conservation Project in collaboration with the Wildlife Trust of India.
