Imphal, Dec. 2 -- The Ward No. 6 United Club, Uripok, has urged the Governor of Manipur to take urgent action for the construction of a retaining wall along the Nambul River bank stretching from Naoremthong to Uripok Khoisnam Leikai.
The Nambul river passes through the Manipur valley areas and falls into Loktak lake. The request was made through an official application submitted by the Club, highlighting the persistent flooding and the serious risks it continues to pose to the local population.
