Imphal, Sept. 2 -- More than two years after violence started in Churachandpur during a rally on 3 May 2023, thousands of displaced persons are languishing in relief centres spread across the state which are crowded, weary, and caught between promises and paperwork.
While government aid has been sanctioned in tranches, camp residents say the road from announcement to actual rebuilding is still long.
