Imphal, Nov. 13 -- The Central Forest Division, Government of Manipur, has issued a public order strictly prohibiting the hunting, killing, sale, and trade of wild animals and wildlife articles across its jurisdiction.

The move comes as part of intensified enforcement of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and heightened vigilance during the ongoing migratory bird season.

In the order issued by Vikram Suresh Nadhe, Divisional Forest Officer, Central Forest Division, the department warned that any person found violating provisions of the Act would face legal action, including arrest and prosecution.
