Imphal, July 5 -- The concluding part of the Kang festival was celebrated in Manipur with religious fervour.

The Kang festival celebration began with Ratha Yatra on June 27, and the formal concluding part (Purna Yatra) was observed today.

Thousands of devotees attended the festival at the Shri Govindajee complex, ISKCON, and other temples.

The chariots with Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, which were pulled out earlier, were again pulled back inside all the temple complexes. As the chariots were pulled, people waited for their turn to touch the rope and offer prayers.

Daylong rituals and presentations of dance and music marked the celebrations.
