Kolkata, May 22 -- India's Manikandan Kumar has made the country proud when he clinched a silver medal in the ongoing Para Climbing World Cup in Salt Lake City, USA, the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) said here on Thursday.

Thirty-nine-year-old Polio survivor Manikandan Kumar representing the IMF, country's mountain and adventure sport climbing regulatory body, has won the silver medal in the RP2 category at the Para Climbing World Cup in Salt Lake City, USA.

" This achievement marks a strong start to the season," IMF's eastern region Chairman Debraj Dutta said in a statement.
